Rojo cereza profundo con reflejos granates y buena intensidad cromática.
López Cristóbal La Colorada 2022 is the most emblematic aged wine from Bodegas López Cristóbal, founded in 1994 in Roa (Burgos), in the heart of the Ribera del Duero DO. A wine born from the winery's most special plot, faithfully reflecting the character of the Ribera terroir and the house's philosophy: wines that are always a faithful reflection of the terroir.
Made with 100% Tinta del País (Tempranillo) grapes from the family's first planted vineyard, La Colorada, with 35–40-year-old vines at an altitude of 790 meters. The harvest is entirely manual, with grapes placed in fruit boxes and then sorted at the winery. The wine is aged for 16 months in French oak (70%) and American oak (30%) barrels, followed by 24 months of bottle aging before release. A long and patient process that guarantees the complexity and perfect integration of all its components.
It has a deep, intense cherry-red color. The nose is complex and expressive, with ripe black fruit such as blackberries and plums, along with notes of chocolate, spices, cedar, and a very elegant mineral finish. On the palate, it is structured and enveloping, with mature, well-integrated tannins, good acidity that provides freshness, and a long, persistent finish. A Ribera del Duero with a classic character and great personality.
Serving temperature: 16–18°C. Decant before serving. Ideal with roasted red meats, game, lamb, stews, and aged cheeses.

Tasting notes
16 - 18°C.
