Marked aromas of toasted caramel, spicy oak and vanilla. Secondary notes of nuts, toffee and a slight smoky touch are perceived that provide complexity.
Robust body and silky texture. The flavor offers layers of toasted oak, sweet spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, and a background of dark honey. The presence of 50% alcohol feels integrated, providing strength without being aggressive.
Aged for at least 4 years.
Undergoes traditionalcharcoal smoothing vegetable (charcoal mellowing) typical of Tennessee, which balances the spiciness of the rye with a silky texture.
