There are those who think that the myth of Vega Sicilia arose because it was an aristocratic, rare wine, within the reach of a lucky few, an object of desire that only a privileged few could enjoy. However, what many do not know is that the true origin of the myth is found in a story of illusion, commitment and patience on the banks of the Duero, as it passes through the heart of Castile, where the river bathes and feeds a unique and singular farm... almost magical.

This barren, lean, hard and wise Earth was destined for something great. She had to ally herself with Time to fulfill her great dream: give the best of herself, achieve extraordinary crops that would fill her with pride and be a sample of the splendor of nature. But, to do this, Earth and Time needed man's help. Someone who would be your eyes and your hands and cultivate respecting the rhythms of nature. Because only then, when you have the humility to accept the mandate of nature, are you able to achieve exceptional fruits.

Centuries passed by waiting for someone to hear the call of this magical Earth. And only a few have the gift of seeing beyond, of listening to what others only hear, of feeling what others do not feel. Until one day fate brought a man who answered his call, a man who believed in an intuition and changed the traditional cultivation of cereals for the best strains of the 19th century. A man who knew how to learn from nature, patiently respected its rhythms, took care of the Earth and protected Time, thus achieving a perfect balance.

With autumn came the harvest and Earth was finally able to cherish her dream, that for which she was predestined; The grapes obtained showed an incomparable character and personality and, after maturing in the silence and solitude of the winery, they became one of the great myths in the history of wine. Finally, Vega Sicilia was born.
