Baigorri Wineries

A unique enclave of the Rioja Alavesa with an incomparable setting for the cultivation of grapes. Only a gigantic glass box is what we see from the outside when we talk about Bodegas BAIGORRI. Surrounded by an immense sea of vineyards with views of the town of Samaniego and under the Sierra de Cantabria, it surprises visitors when they enter the building, and after admiring the beauty and contrast of colors of its surroundings, they discover that seven underground floors are hidden beneath the surface where gravity takes center stage in the production of its unique wines.

Inside, the winery has the most advanced technology, the result of technical experimentation. It is framed within a process of continuous improvement and develops numerous research projects.

The building adapts to the existing topography and harmoniously develops its entire structure beneath the surface. A place where you can see how the entire winemaking process develops. BAIGORRI Winery was designed and built by architect Iñaki Aspiazu. Creation aimed at the peculiar way of making our wines and a reference for architecture in the landscape, respecting the environment where it is located.
