Tasting notes

9 - 11ºC.

Description

Sangarida Godello 2025 is the white wine from Sangarida, the Bierzo project of brothers Robustiano and Baldomero Fariña, the same family behind the acclaimed Galician winery Attis Bodega y Viñedos. If Mencía is the nymph at the heart of the myth, Godello is her second life: brighter, fresher, more spring-like.

Made from 100% Godello grapes from young vineyards in Campo, Molinaseca, and San Lorenzo del Bierzo (Castilla y León), cultivated according to organic principles in a landscape that profoundly shapes the character of the wines. Godello, an indigenous variety from the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula, expresses its most Atlantic and fresh side here, quite different from the mineral and dense profile it takes on in Valdeorras.

The winemaking is simple and respects the fruit: manual harvesting with sorting table, fermentation in stainless steel, and 3 months of aging on the fine lees in tank, which adds texture and breadth without losing the liveliness and freshness typical of the variety.
