Dalwhinnie Distillery (Buchanan's)

Buchanan's is named after the late James Buchanan, an entrepreneurial whiskey entrepreneur who created a Scotch whiskey that redefined greatness. Instead of creating a Scotch to be revered, he created a unique, smooth blend that everyone could share and enjoy. In fact, the original Buchanan's bottle design was inspired by the selfless act of sharing water canteens among British soldiers during times of conflict.

Buchanan founded his whisky company in 1884 and quickly shared it with the world, traveling from Scotland to London and Latin America. Today, the Red Lion crest on the bottle proudly displays its origin, "Buchanan's Scotland," but continues to spread its smoothness around the globe, from Bogotá to Los Angeles and Mexico City. After all, greatness is for everyone.

Buchanan's Scotch whisky has long been a source of pride for Hispanic culture—present at tables, celebrations, and important events—and we are committed to giving back to the community that is central to our history. Honoring the legacy of our founder, James Buchanan, the 200% Future Fund celebrates the duality of being 100% Hispanic and 100% American and helps empower the next generation, creating a stronger future.
