Now, it is the fourth generation that directs the project, combining traditional knowledge with the most current equipment and knowledge. The wines of Jumilla are the ambassadors of a town of contrasts, whose personality springs from the land itself. It is surprising to see how, from the sandy and limestone stony ground, a geological legacy of the Triassic period, such a rich myriad of hues is obtained. From the golden Moscatel to the luscious rosé, from the bold red of the youngest Monastrell to the dominant vermilion of the oak-aged wines.

To understand the fighting spirit of Jumilla, one must feel the relentless summer sun, the icy winter chill, and the contrasting temperatures. In this tenacious struggle for life, land and farmer have learned to retain the scarce rain that arrives and transform adversity into wines with character.

Their wineries have been designed to operate as sustainable facilities in accordance with the family's principles: respect for the land and raw materials, energy efficiency, and the use of natural resources. A philosophy that reflects their motto, "We are Earth."

Viñas Familia Gil makes a constant effort in R&D in the three fundamental areas of its activity: Vineyard, winery and wines.
